Cedarfield residents and employees joined together this holiday season to give back to the community. Together, they raised over $1,200 for the Central Virginia Food Bank. The donation will go on to provide over 6,000 meals to families and older adults across 31 counties and five cities in Central Virginia.

Retirement Dynamics

Cedarfield recently had the pleasure of working with Retirement Dynamics, a marketing consultant group based out of North Carolina, to distribute a survey to prospective residents. The survey provided recipients a chance to answer questions to help Cedarfield plan for the future.

Many thanks to those who returned the survey and also to those individuals that participated in the three separate focus groups hosted in October! Information provided will be helpful to the upcoming enhancements for current and future residents!

2011 Walk to End Alzheimer's

Cedarfield participated in this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's on October 1 at the Markel Plaza in Innsbrook. Over 50 staff, friends and family members, along with 26 residents, joined together to form a team and collectively raise over $13,000! For the fifth year in a row, Cedarfield was named the top fundraising team in the Richmond walk! All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association and stay locally within the community.

Rappahannock River Cruise & Ingleside Winery

Cedarfield kicked off the summer with a trip on the Rappahannock River Cruise. Residents traveled to Ingleside Plantation for a wine tasting and lunch buffet.  The trip was a hit and a future cruise to Tangier Island is already in the works!

In Case of Emergencies.

Cedarfield did not lose electricity under the wrath of Hurricane Irene, while over 400,000 people across the state of Virginia were left in the dark. In case of power outages, however, Cedarfield is equipped with generators that would keep the community up and running!

Another advantage, in case of natural disasters, is Cedarfield’s in-house maintenance team. Never again worry about how much the post-hurricane clean-up will cost. Cedarfield takes care of it all.
Earthquakes, hurricanes…what will Mother Nature bring next? Take comfort in knowing Cedarfield is prepared.

All retirement communities are not the same. See what sets Cedarfield apart.

Cedarfield Marketing Welcomes Ashley Brown

Along with the sweltering heat, the month of July brought a new addition to the Cedarfield family. Ashley Brown joined the team earlier this month as the new Marketing Assistant. Ashley is a Richmond native and recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mass Communications. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, trying new recipes, going to the gym and taking care of her newly adopted puppy, Shaka, appropriately named after the VCU basketball team’s head coach. She is thrilled to be at Cedarfield and cannot wait to meet and get to know the residents and staff!
